  9.  AB    The main purpose of this report is to attract the attention to the daily
  10.        education, health protection and living problems which arise to women in
  11.        changing HIV/AIDS situation. Good health of women is a base for creation
  12.        of healthy society, because a woman is the main pledge for assurance the
  13.        motherhood function. At this moment there is only one HIV infected woman
  14.        registered in the AIDS Centre of Lithuania but it is not a real
  15.        situation because the number of HIV infected persons is growing. 4
  16.        heterosexuals, 5 bisexuals men have families, other HIV infected
  17.        heterosexual men have accidental sexual intercourses. The problem to get
  18.        HIV infection and STD's becomes really important. Prostitution and drug
  19.        addiction in Lithuania are illegal. Family planning problems are
  20.        hindered by the lack of contraceptives, precautionary measures and
  21.        shortage of information about their use. Problems of ensuring moral and
  22.        spiritual equilibrium and valuable life of HIV infected women arise.
  23.        Special programs and procedures are being prepared at this period for
  24.        the purpose to ensure special needs for women (e.g. psichological
  25.        preparation of girls for living in a family; compulsory basic education
  26.        and special sex education; ensuring of appropriate madical services for
  27.        pregnant and delivering women; refusing of unhealthy habits, such as
  28.        alcohol consumption, smoking, drug use, etc.) and they should be
  29.        included into the internal AIDS policy of the state.
